Providing conditions for the development of smart ecosystems

Given the dynamic development of smart ecosystems based on 5G networks, it is necessary to strengthen efforts for ensuring universal connectivity. We are gradually moving towards a reality in which the availability of 5G, being the prerequisite for the Industrial Revolution 4.0, is still scarce and the majority operate within the 2.5-3G network. Such a situation involves potential risk of greater disproportions than those on which our current understanding of inequality is based (meaning a situation where the majority remains offline while the minority has access to 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi networks).

Therefore, the following question should be asked: what 5G business models need to be developed? What decisions must be taken by individual countries so that their ecosystems are able to keep up with the pace of the Industrial Revolution 4.0? What skills are needed to ensure universal participation in the digital transformation process? What will be the financial and business implications for the value chain? How to attract new investments and funds?

The presentation will discuss the best business solutions, specific examples of the functioning of innovative partnerships and the use of business models enabling the development of Industry 4.0 and equalizing digital opportunities so that broadband technologies can be fully used for universal communication, security and digital skills development.
