The last position in Orange was Mobile Technologies Strategy Agency Manager focusing on technology strategy related to 5G and IoT, before Programme Director responsible for strategic analyses delivery on CxO level (COO organization) and previously Wireless Access Development Director in Orange Poland (former Orange Labs Poland). His main responsibilities are service development, RAN features (SW and HW) testing processes, trial preparation (Femto, Small Cell, LTE, ect.), device validation and EMF and Antennas system analyses and evaluation. Moreover, he takes care of consolidated network (common network of Orange Poland and T-mobile Poland) laboratory environment and actively takes part in frequency strategy preparation and evaluation processes.
Aleksander Jakubczak started his professional career as System Operator and then New Technologies & Services Engineer in OSP Polpager (currently Sferia, part of Polkomtel Group). He joined Orange Poland (PTK Centertel) in 2005 and since then has occupied several other posts: Program Manager, Architecture & Technology Development Agency Manager and Strategy & Technology Development Agency Manager, where he was responsible for defining technical branch strategy and solutions, managing analyses and multi-domain projects and programs in the area of new technologies introduction (i.e. UMA, CDMA, Femtocells, DVB-H, LTE etc.). He was also one of the pioneers in Poland in defining technical needs and requirements regarding CDMA EVDO Rev. A trials and commercial deployment in 850 and 450 bands. Aleksander Jakubczak obtained his Master degree in Telecommunications from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. Afterwards he graduated from postgraduate studies on Warsaw School of Economics with Management as the field of study and accomplished Telecoms Mini MBA by Informa Telecoms & Media in Dubai, UAE.

Aleksander Poniewierski is the Global IoT Leader at EY, being responsible for leading the Advisory Practice focused on the development of Strategy, Design, Implementation, Process Optimization, Business Model Innovation, Security and Protection for global Clients in both Consumer and Industrial IoT. He is a globally recognized expert in the field of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Previously, Aleksander led the IoT/OT Advisory Practice for the EMEIA region. Throughout his career, he built the IT Advisory practice in Poland and CSE, where he led numerous IT and OT projects for some of the largest companies in the region. Before joining EY, Aleksander was responsible for managing IT Security at telecommunication companies.

Aleksander graduated from Upper Silesian University in 1997 with a Master’s degree in Information Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Poznan University of Economics. Andrzej Soldaty has associated most of his professional career with the area of ​​industrial automation. He gained his  first practical experience in automation and robotization working at R&D Center for chemical industry in the late 1980 s. The next 25 years he worked for the Festo concern, a supplier of solutions and components for industrial automation. During this period, he participated in the development of a number of applications and implementation of automation projects in various industry sectors. He participated in building and developing Festo in Poland, he also conducted international projects in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2010-2015 he was the President of the  Board of Festo Poland.

In 2016, he created the “Initiative for Polish Industry 4.0” – a social movement that brings together representatives of industry, business and science.

In 2017-2019  he led the government project  at Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology  preparing measures supporting  transformation of   the Polish industry to  Industry 4.0 level.

In March 2019 he was nominated by Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology as the President of the Board of Future Industry Platform which is the state treasury foundation established to support companies in their digital transformation.

W 1974 roku ukończył I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Ziemi Kujawskiej we Włocławku i podjął studia biologiczne na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Ukończył je w 1978 roku pod kierunkiem Alicji Górskiej-Brylass. W latach 1978–1981 kontynuował naukę na studiach doktoranckich na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim. Stopień doktora uzyskał na UWr w 1983 roku. Tematem rozprawy doktorskiej był Wpływ humianu sodu i faniny chińskiej na ultrastrukturę komórki i na enzymy związane z membranami i ścianą komórkową, a jej promotorem Stefan Gumiński.

W 1981 roku Andrzej Tretyn został zatrudniony na UMK. Stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk przyrodniczych w zakresie biologii uzyskał w 1991 roku na tej uczelni, na podstawie rozprawy Badania nad rolą acetylocholiny w mechanizmie działania fitochromu. Tytuł profesora nauk biologicznych otrzymał w 18 czerwca 1996 roku[2].

Na UMK został kierownikiem Katedry Fizjologii Roślin i Biotechnologii. Od 1999 roku do 2005 roku pełnił funkcję dziekana Wydziału Biologii i Nauk o Ziemi. W 2005 roku został prorektorem UMK ds. badań naukowych i współpracy z zagranicą.

13 marca 2012 roku, głosami 121 elektorów (przy 112 głosach za profesorem Andrzejem Radzimińskim i 4 głosach wstrzymujących się), został wybrany na rektora Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika. Kadencję rozpoczął 1 września tegoż roku[3]. 10 marca 2016 roku został ponownie wybrany na rektora na kadencję 2016–2020 (166 głosów za, 53 przeciw, 12 wstrzymujących się)[1].

Dominique Lazanski

Dominique Lazanski is a London-based digital policy and strategy consultant and is the Director of her own company, Last Press Label. She is currently a consultant with the UK’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and mobile related companies. She was formerly the Director for Public Policy and Institutional Relations for the GSM Association and worked on cyber security policy and Internet governance includes coordination with the UN, OECD, WTO and others. She was on the executive multistakeholder committee for NetMundial in April 2014 and held a three year appointment to the multistakeholder advisory group of the Internet Governance Forum until 2018. At the end of 2019her article, “Governance in international technical standards- making: a tripartite model” was published in the Chatham House Cyber Journal.
Dominique was a member of the UK’s Open Data User Group in the Cabinet Office from 2012 to 2014 and the Tax Transparency Board in Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in 2013. Doreen Bogdan-Martin

Doreen Bogdan-Martin was elected Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau on the 1st of November 2018. She took office on the 1st of January 2019.
She is a strategic leader with 30 years of high-level experience in international and inter-governmental relations and a long history of success in policy and strategy development, analysis and execution. She has advised governments from around the world on policy and regulatory issues, and is a regular presenter at high-level international forums and summits.
From 2008-2018, Ms Bogdan-Martin led the Strategic Planning & Membership Department of the International Telecommunication Union, located in Geneva, Switzerland. ITU is the specialized United Nations agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs), with 193 Member States and a membership of nearly 800 private sector entities and academic institutions around the globe. The oldest member of the UN family, its mandate is to bring connectivity to all the world’s people through development assistance, technical standardization and coordination of radiocommunications.
Prior to her election, Ms Bogdan-Martin oversaw the organization’s Membership, Corporate Communications, External Affairs and UN Liaison teams, and was instrumental in establishing the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, on which she continues to serve as Executive Director.
She was one of the principal architects of the annual Global Symposium for Regulators, directed ITU’s first global youth summit #BYND, oversees ITU’s contribution to the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age, and is leading ITU’s collaboration with UNICEF and others on the GIGA project to connect the world’s schools.
Prior to joining ITU, Ms Bogdan-Martin was a Telecommunications Policy Specialist in the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA), US Department of Commerce.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Communications Policy from American University in Washington, DC, post-graduate certification in Strategies for Leadership from the Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is certified in Accountability and Ethics by the United Nations Leaders Programme.
She is an affiliate of the Harvard University Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society, and a Generation Unlimited Champion. Jakub Woźny is a partner at the Media Law Firm. His field of expertise includes telecommunications law. At present, Mr Woźny is much involved in cases of interference of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications with telecommunication companies’ business. He is interested in regulations pertaining to entities rendering electronic services, in particular OTT services. He is actively involved in drafting the Code of Electronic Communication.

Mr Woźny has extensive experience in copyright. He is the author of scientific publications, provides regular training to communication companies, speaks at scientific conferences and makes public appearances. He is a graduate in economics at the Poznan University of Economics and in law at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. Jim O’Connor is the Chairman and CEO of the USTTI- a nonprofit, US government-industry joint venture intended to meet the telecommunications and cybersecurity training needs of the women and men who design, regulate and oversee the communications infrastructures of the developing world. Since 1982, the USTTI has graduated 10,052 communications officials, regulators and entrepreneurs from 177 developing countries.

 

In his role as Chairman and CEO, of the USTTI, O’Connor works with developing country Regulators and Ministries of Communication to identify priority policy and technology issues to develop the USTTI’s annual curriculum. Additionally, Jim is responsible for coordination with USTTI Board members from US government and industry to ensure USTTI course offerings showcase innovative technologies and services pioneered in the United States, while also highlighting the vital role of independent regulatory bodies in promoting economic growth in the global marketplace.

Since joining the USTTI in 2007, Jim has worked his way through the organization from a project coordinator to Executive Director and then in 2016 being named as the first President of the USTTI. In those roles Jim was responsible for numerous program innovations addressing broadband deployment, cybersecurity, spectrum management, emergency communications, telehealth and Internet governance.

Karierę zawodową zaczynał w Stowarzyszeniu na Rzecz Forum Inicjatyw Pozarządowych
i w Fundacji Inicjatyw Społeczno-Ekonomicznych. W kolejnych latach pełnił funkcję dyrektora i prezesa warszawskiego Banku Żywności SOS. Twórca i dyrektor Centrum Komunikacji Społecznej Urzędu m.st. Warszawy. Współtwórca projektu „Miejskie Centrum Kontaktu – Warszawa 19115”. Od kilku lat zaangażowany w cyfryzację usług publicznych poprzez wykorzystanie narzędzi cyfrowych i innowacyjnych rozwiązań informatycznych. Odpowiedzialny również za systemową współpracę z uczelniami.
Był przewodniczącym Rady Opiekuńczej dla Bezdomnych przy Prezydencie m.st. Warszawy oraz przewodniczącym Forum Dialogu Społecznego. W latach 2006-2016 pełnił funkcję Pełnomocnika Prezydenta m.st. Warszawy ds. współpracy z organizacjami pozarządowymi, odznaczony Krzyżem Kawalerskim Orderu Odrodzenia Polski za wybitne zasługi na rzecz rozwoju społeczeństwa obywatelskiego w Polsce.

Marek Gondzio is the founder and CEO of Globema.
He started his career as an Assistant and later Associate Professor at the Institute of Computer Science of the Warsaw University of Technology (1979-1991). In the late 80s he worked as a Visiting Researcher and Consultant at FreeForm Design AB – a Swedish IT enterprise. Between 1991-1997 he was a Deputy Director of a Software Department and then a Vice President at Inter-Design Tessel Systems – a Polish-Swedish company specializing in CAD software.
In 1997 he founded Globema, which over the years has become one of the leading suppliers of geospatial IT solutions and services on the CEE markets. In 2005 Marek Gondzio received INFO-STAR (a recognition and award of the Polish IT industry) for ‘Business Achievements’.

Marek Gondzio is a vice-chairman of the Board of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications, a Management Board member of the Entrepreneurs’ Association “Partnership for Innovations” and a member of Foundation for the Development of Radiocommunication and Multimedia Technologies.

Together with his team, he achieved outstanding results in the sales of consumer products and solutions offered by Microsoft UK.

Over the years, his professional career included a number of industries and markets. Initially, he was engaged in the healthcare sector and the sales to the public sector. For 14 years, he worked for GlaxoSmithKline. For 6 years, he managed the company’s business in the Central and Eastern Europe, of which, for 4 years, he worked and lived in Poland, holding the position of General Manager and President of the Management Board at GSK Poland. In this period of time, he led the merger of Polfa Poznan with the international business of GSK. Mark Loughran also sat on the board of the Confederation of Polish Employers (KPP), currently known as the Employers of Poland, which is the oldest and largest umbrella organisation of employers in Poland.

After that, for four years he was the director of Center for Informatics Technology (COI), which he then transformed into a center of digital literacy for the state. Oliver Blank is Director European Affairs with ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. In this function, he is responsible for the coordination of all ZVEI European affairs and the management of the ZVEI European Office in Brussels. In addition, he coordinates some of the international work of ZVEI, including ZVEI’s China business and the Beijing EuropElectro Office.

Since January 2018, Paweł Jakubik took a new role of Director of Digital Transformation in Cloud, a board member in the Polish Microsoft subsidiary. Previously, within the Polish Microsoft, he ran the Enterprise Services Department for 4 years. Together with the team, he was responsible for advising, implementing and maintaining services for the largest clients in the following sectors: public, banking and insurance, energy and industrial sectors as well as industries such as sales, distribution and production. Previously he ran the Department of Banking and Insurance at Microsoft Enterprise – a department that dealt with the services of the largest Polish banks and insurance companies.

 

He divides his over twenty years professional experience into two periods: business and technology. During the first thirteen years of his professional career he organized and ran sales networks, training and marketing departments in the financial sector. In Gerling Poland Life was the Sales Director. In Zurich TUnŻ he was responsible for the corporate client segment. He was a member of Inter Polska’s board of directors responsible for sales, marketing and training.

 

After moving from business to IT in 2005-2009 he was head of sales and marketing at Software AG. During the merger with webMethods was responsible for the area of business processes and middle ware.

Absolwent Wydziału Elektroniki i Technik Informacyjnych Politechniki Warszawskiej, z którym cały czas jest związany naukowo. Posiada ponad 20-letnie doświadczenie na rynku IT w tworzeniu i wdrażaniu innowacji. Pierwsze kroki kariery zawodowej stawiał w Instytucie Fizyki Plazmy i Laserowej Mikrosyntezy tworząc oprogramowanie dla wielokadrowych układów akwizycji obrazów interferometrycznych. Następnie współtworzył oprogramowanie dla kardiomonitorów oraz robotów używanych do cięcia układów scalonych.W 2003 roku rozpoczął pracę w ATM S.A. pełniąc funkcje inżyniera, Kierownika Zespołu Oprogramowania, Dyrektora Działu Rozwoju, a w końcu Prezesa Zarządu Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego ATM-Lab, obecnie Atende Software. Współtwórca systemu dystrybucji treści wykorzystywanego przez największe telewizje internetowe w Polsce (player.pl, ipla.tv, NC+, PLAY NOW) oraz systemu do zarządzania inteligentnymi licznikami energii (AMI) dla Energa-Operator. W Atende Software odpowiada za strategię spółki i wciąż za realizację kluczowych produktów. Obecnie zaangażowany we wdrożenie na globalną skalę systemu operacyjnego Phoenix-RTOS poprzez jego wykorzystanie w inteligentnych licznikach mediów (energii, gazu) przez największych producentów takich urządzeń na różnych rynkach świata oraz w innych urządzeniach internetu rzeczy (np. dronach i samochodach elektrycznych).
