Ben Butters has worked at EUROCHAMBRES, the European association of Chambers of Commerce & Industry, since 2008. Originally from the UK, Ben moved to Brussels following a Master’s Degree in European Politics. He subsequently worked in both the European Commission and the European Parliament. Andrzej Soldaty has associated most of his professional career with the area of ​​industrial automation. He gained his  first practical experience in automation and robotization working at R&D Center for chemical industry in the late 1980 s. The next 25 years he worked for the Festo concern, a supplier of solutions and components for industrial automation. During this period, he participated in the development of a number of applications and implementation of automation projects in various industry sectors. Krzysztof Groyecki has been involved in the IT sector since the beginning of his career. Since 2010 he has been the Director of the Healthcare Department in Asseco Poland, and since March 2016 he has been the Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.

Earlier, he was the founder, co-owner and the president of the management board of PiK Systemy Informatyczne Gliwice and PiK-Net. In 1999-2001, he served as the vice president of the management board of ComputerLand Zdrowie and the General Director of the Health Care Sector of ComputerLand (1999-2005). In the following years, he was the member of the management board of RUM IT (2004-2006) and the management board’s plenipotentiary for health care in ComputerLand and Sygnity (2005-2008). Then, he was the Director of the Health Care Solutions Division in ABG (2008-2010). Additionally, he was the member of the supervisory board of Clinika (2002-2003), Serum Software (2008-2010) and 3S – Śląskie Sieci Światłowodowe (2007-2013).

He has graduated from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (the Faculty of Automation, Electronics and Computer Science). In 1981-1987 he was an assistant and a senior assistant at the Institute of Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

After graduating from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of Warsaw University of Technology he stayed at the University as the academic teacher and researcher for the next two years.  Directly from the Institute he moved to IBM Poland where he is still employed. During his professional career he graduated in journalism from The University of Warsaw and finished full MBA course at Henley Management College.  Active on the Polish IT market for more than 20 years. Started as the systems engineer, then sales specialist and continued as the sales manager and business developer. Currently acts as the Healthcare Sector Leader for Poland. His role is to engage in innovative e-health projects.

Tomasz Staszelis is an expert in the field of Digitalisation and IT Management. He has gained his experience in managerial positions at large Polish and international companies, such as Coca-Cola, Elbrewery, Grupa Żywiec, Heineken, Walgreens Boots Alliance. He is currently Chief Digital Officer at the Polpharma Group. His areas of expertise include Digital Healthcare, Digital business transformation, IT strategy integral with the company’s business strategy, management of business processes and integration processes in mergers. He has led numerous major global business transformation programs which consisted in integration of business and technology. Over 14 years of working abroad he gained extensive experience in managing a culturally diverse environment and in international mergers. He has a degree in Telecommunications from the Gdańsk University of Technology and an MBA from Strathclyde University and the University of Gdańsk. He also completed an Executive MBA course at INSEAD.

Goran Licanin is Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Business Development Director for IoT, Cloud, and B2B of Huawei Technologies in the CEE & Nordic, and an international expert in digital transformation with more than 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. Starting with engineering roles, he grew further in his career by experiencing entrepreneurship and consulting for Fortune 500 companies and government clients. Today, Goran is helping Huawei clients in Telco and Enterprise markets transform their businesses, build new products and services, and create their new ecosystem. That includes adopting new technologies and business models so they can transform their businesses and explore new opportunities using technologies like IoT, Cloud, Big Data, and AI.

Goran truly believes that any transformation should start from small, simple solutions that will be a fast win and the way to learn. This way, the initial transformation can be easily adopted in the business environment, driving future change in the company mindset. 

He got his technical education in Russia (BMST) and learned business in the US (MIT Sloan), specializing in innovation and strategy.

Jarek Smulski joined IDC in September 2002. As a hardware analyst working in the Warsaw office, he is responsible for investigating the changing dynamics of the Polish PC, server, and storage markets. Prior to joining IDC, Smulski worked for VoIP and broadband company Zephyr Telecommunications.

Jarek Smulski holds a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Warsaw and a master’s in law from Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland. In addition to his native Polish, Smulski speaks fluent English.

Inżynier elektronik, wieloletni prezydent Świdnicy, poseł z listy PiS na Sejm VIII i IX kadencji. Działacz partii Porozumienie.  

W październiku 2019 r. wybrany do Sejmu IX kadencji z listy PiS w Wałbrzychu. Od 2015 do 2019 r., również z listy PiS, był posłem VIII kadencji. Przewodniczył sejmowej nadzwyczajnej komisji ds. deregulacji. Zasiadał również w sejmowych komisjach: gospodarki i rozwoju; finansów publicznych oraz tzw. komisji śledczej ds. VAT. 
Urodził się 13 grudnia 1957 r. w Świdnicy. W 1981 r. uzyskał tytuł magistra inżyniera na Wydziale Elektroniki Politechniki Wrocławskiej. Na tej samej uczelni, w 1988 r., ukończył studia podyplomowe na kierunku Projektowanie Systemów Mikroprocesorowych, a w 2008 r. – studia podyplomowe na kierunku New Public Management w Międzynarodowej Wyższej Szkole Logistyki i Transportu we Wrocławiu. 

W latach 1981-1992 był konstruktorem w Zakładach Elektrotechniki Motoryzacyjnej w Świdnicy. Między 1990 a 1998 r. – radny, wiceprzewodniczący Rady Miejskiej w Świdnicy. W latach 1999-2002 – starosta Powiatu Świdnickiego.  A od 2002 do 2014, przez trzy kadencje, sprawował urząd prezydenta Świdnicy. W latach 2014-2015 – radny Rady Powiatu Świdnickiego. 

W 2013 r. otrzymał Krzyż Kawalerski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski. W 2014 r. – Samorządowego Oskara – nagrodę im. Grzegorza Palki. W tym samym roku Złoty Medal im. Jana Kilińskiego za zasługi dla rzemiosła polskiego oraz Dolnośląskie Gryfy – Nagrodę Gospodarczą. Kolejno w latach 2012, 2013, 2014 otrzymywał Złote godło QI, Perła QI, a w 2009 r. – Dolnośląski Klucz Sukcesu.

Aktywnie zaangażowany w działalność społeczną. Od 1984 r. w Fundacji Pomocy Biednym Dzieciom „Ut unum sint”, od 1990 r. jako jej prezes. Wspiera też m.in. Towarzystwo im. św. Brata Alberta. Wieloletni przewodniczący Stowarzyszenia „Wspólnota Samorządowa Ziemi Świdnickiej”. W latach 2001-2007 był Prezesem Sudeckiego Stowarzyszenia Inicjatyw Gospodarczych, które współzakładał. 

W latach 2008-2015 był wiceprzewodniczącym Rady Nadzorczej Invest–Park Development.

Teresa supervises the implementation of the Standardization Division operations, responsible for the overall organization of standardization work, including the regularity of the process of creating standardization documents and their publication.

She joined the Polish Committee for Standardization in1994, where during the years 2013-2019 she’d held the position of the director of the Standardization Department, and earlier between 2011-2013 – the head of the Food, Agriculture and Forestry Sector.

She participated in the implementation of the Polish Standardization Resource IT system dedicated to the standardization work of Technical Bodies operating under the Polish Committee for Standardization.

She was appointed Vice- President on April 5, 2019.

Tomasz Komorowski is manager for UNESCO programmes in communication and information and social and human sciences at Polish National Commission for UNESCO. He is presidium member of Polish Committee of UNESCO Information for All Programme (IFAP) and member of Polish Committee of UNESCO Memory of the World Programme. He authored papers concerning programmes of the Communication and Information and Social and Human Sciences Sectors of UNESCO, he coordinated UNESCO’s activities-related international and national conferences and seminars in Poland.

Mariusz Bednarek is the Vice President of the Industry 4.0 Institute and also serves as the Chief Consultant. He is a professor at the University of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Production Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Mariusz Rawski is Associate professor at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of Warsaw University of Technology. He works in the field of hardware implementation of digital systems, including for cybersecurity, high-performance computing, software-defined networking. He is the author or co-author of more than 140 research papers and has been involved in a number of research projects and grants financed, among others by NCBiR, MNiSW, MEN, A-STAR (Singapore), European Union and  NATO.

Przemek Jaroszewski is the head of CERT Polska at NASK. He joined NASK in 2000, and went through multiple positions starting from LAN management, through incident response and incident management. He started his education as a programmer at Warsaw University of Technology, to eventually get his master’s degree in Social Psychology from University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. Przemek was involved in a number of projects on data exchange and collaboration of incident response teams. He was also a co-author and teacher of trainings for incident responders, including ENISA CERT Exercises and TRANSITS. Active member of many incident response and cybercrime fighting forums, including FIRST, TF-CSIRT and APWG.

Prof. Michał Kleiber, Ph.D., Dr. Habil., Eng., is Vice-President of Polish National Commission for UNESCO and Professor at the Department of Information and Computational Science at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences. Gunther Grathwohl is responsible for international Digital Dialogues and the Internet Governace Forum that has taken place in Nov 2019 in Berlin. Furthermore he is currently dealing with setting up several bilateral digital dialogues between the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of the German government and partner ministries in selected countries around the globe. Before that, Gunther Grathwohl was acting for the G20 digital ministerial process under the German Presidency and for the first meeting held by G20-ministers responsible for the digital economy on 6 and 7 April 2017 in Düsseldorf.
Between 2012 and 2016, he worked at the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU in Brussels as deputy head of the economic department. Within this period he was responsible for all legislative files negotiated in the Council Working Party on telecommunication and information society as for example European rules on net neutrality, abolishment of EU-wide roaming tariffs or the network and information security Directive. Between 2006 and 2012 he was working for the German ministry of economics and technology, in the Division of European ICT-Policy, dealing i.a. with broadband policy, the review of the legal framework for electronic communication or the Digital Agenda for Europe. Gunther Grathwohl holds a PhD in International Economics and studied Economics in Trier, Seville and Bamberg. During his PhD studies (2000-2006) he worked as an assistant professor at Bamberg University in International Economics and Macroeconomics.

Erzsébet Fitori joined the FTTH Council Europe as Director General on 1 September 2016.
Erzsébet Fitori brings to this position more than 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs and public policy, including four years as Director at the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA), a trade association representing over 100 pro-competitive operators across Europe. During these years she has overseen ECTA’s public policy, regulatory and PR activities as well as being responsible for the association’s engagement with the EU institutions, national regulators and governments among other responsibilities.
Prior to joining ECTA as Regulatory Affairs Manager in February 2008 Erzsébet was Head of Regulatory Affairs at Telenor Hungary in Budapest. In her early career she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of European Law and Private International Law at the University of Miskolc in Hungary.

Dominique Lazanski is a London-based digital policy and strategy consultant and is the Director of her own company, Last Press Label. She is currently a consultant with the UK’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and mobile related companies. She was formerly the Director for Public Policy and Institutional Relations for the GSM Association and worked on cyber security policy and Internet governance includes coordination with the UN, OECD, WTO and others. She was on the executive multistakeholder committee for NetMundial in April 2014 and held a three year appointment to the multistakeholder advisory group of the Internet Governance Forum until 2018. At the end of 2019her article, “Governance in international technical standards- making: a tripartite model” was published in the Chatham House Cyber Journal.
Dominique was a member of the UK’s Open Data User Group in the Cabinet Office from 2012 to 2014 and the Tax Transparency Board in Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in 2013. She participates on the Multistakeholder Advisory Group on Internet Governance in the UK. She worked on the first Cyberspace Conference with the UK’s Foreign Office and the ICC in London to secure business participation in the conference. In 2015 she was a UN Expert on Access and Connectivity.

Dominique began her career with positions at Yahoo, eBay, and Apple, where she helped launch the first iTunes stores in the US. In 2005 she moved to London to complete a master’s degree in information systems management at the London School of Economics. She has worked in policy ever since, three years of which were spent at the TaxPayers’ Alliance working on digital policy.

Dominique holds a bachelor of arts from Cornell University, a second master’s degree from the University of Bath and is currently working on her PhD. She is an amateur biathlete and enjoys Japanese embroidery, travel, hiking and Nordic skiing.

Krzysztof Silicki graduated from Warsaw University of Technology and started his career at NASK in 1992. In 2016 he became a Vice-Chair of the ENISA Management Board and re-elected for the same position in 2019. Krzysztof Silicki is a founder of CERT Polska, first incident response team in Poland. He was representative in FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams) (1997-1999). Krzysztof Silicki has been also the originator and Program Chair of SECURE annual conference – first IT security conference in Poland. As Technical Director in NASK he was responsible for network technology and IT systems development and initiating and supervising many innovative projects. He is an author of many publications in Polish IT press as well as international conference materials, concerning telecommunication networks and ICT security. He was involved in creation of the strategy and work programme of ENISA. During his mission as the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Silicki was leading the process of preparing draft of national cybersecurity act. He shares his expertise with communities also by giving presentations and lectures during conferences, workshops and trainings in Poland and abroad.

Damian Kedziora, doctor of Industrial Engineering and Managemnet graduated from Lappeenranta University of Technology, professionally engaged in digital transitions at global services. Currently he works in Helsinki as Postdoctoral Researcher at Hanken School of Economics and Solution Consultant at NORIAN Intelligent Automation team, focusing on research, modelling and implementation of modern tech solutions, such as robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning (ML), optical character recognition (OCR), natural language processing (NLP) and chat/voice bots.

Aleksander Poniewierski is the Global IoT Leader at EY, being responsible for leading the Advisory Practice focused on the development of Strategy, Design, Implementation, Process Optimization, Business Model Innovation, Security and Protection for global Clients in both Consumer and Industrial IoT. He is a globally recognized expert in the field of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Previously, Aleksander led the IoT/OT Advisory Practice for the EMEIA region. Throughout his career, he built the IT Advisory practice in Poland and CSE, where he led numerous IT and OT projects for some of the largest companies in the region. Before joining EY, Aleksander was responsible for managing IT Security at telecommunication companies.

Aleksander graduated from Upper Silesian University in 1997 with a Master’s degree in Information Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Poznan University of Economics. Additionally, he has participated in many Executive Programs provided by Harvard Business School, Carnegie Mellon University and LMD University. 

He is an Advisory Council Member of the Center for Global Business at the University of Texas in Dallas (UDT). Aleksander is the author of many publications as well as a recognized keynote speaker at numerous conferences related to Cyber Security and IoT/OT. Paweł Wideł is employed at the Groupe PSA / Opel in Warsaw as Director for Government Relations and Public Affairs in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Since 1991, he has been employed at General Motors. He held various positions in Poland, Czech Republic and Russia, among others, fleet & governmental sales director in Poland, Opel Astra Brand manager in the Central and Eastern Europe Cluster in Czech Republic and the director of sales and marketing of Cadillac, HUMMER and Saab brands in the Russian Federation and CIS countries. President of the Association of Automotive Employers and Industrial Goods at the Confederation of Lewiatan and Vice-President of the Confederation of Lewiatan. Awarded with the Medal of Merit for National Defence.

Artur Pruszko holds a Ph.D. in mathematics and graduated from Executive and MBA program of University of Minnesota (US). Artur Pruszko is an expert in strategic management, investments project management, business development and restructuring.

After graduation in Aeronautical and Aerospace Technology Dieter Wegener worked as scientist at
DLR in Cologne and after four years as consultant for McKinsey he joined Siemens in 1996 as Head
of Gasturbine Engineering at “Power Generation”.
During his career within Siemens he had different responsibilities in the Technology and Innovation
Management, e.g. CTO for Division “Industry Solutions”.
Today he is Head of External Cooperation at Siemens Corporate Technology. Additionally he has

For years associated with the telecommunications industry. In Orange Polska (formerly Telekomunikacja Polska) since 1991, he participated in most of the key programs related to network modernization and implementation of new technologies. He was, among others responsible for the processes of technical delivery and maintenance of services for Orange Polska clients and alternative operators, implementation of investments (including the VHBB-FTTH project) and maintenance of an active network. Leader of many projects in the field of building and improving customer experience. Responsible for the creation of the largest fiber optic network in Poland, currently covering over 4 million households and constantly expanding.

Jerzy obecnie zajmuje się przede wszystkim wsparciem innowacyjnych startupów w rozwoju biznesowym oraz pozyskaniu finansowania poza granicami Polski. Ma wieloletnie doświadczenie w zakresie zarządzania, wykorzystania cyfrowych technologii w gospodarce, innowacji i startupów. W swojej karierze zawodowej miał okazję pracować w blisko 20 krajach. Przez wiele lat był partnerem w dziale Management Consulting w międzynarodowej firmie doradczej KPMG i odpowiadał za doradztwo w zakresie nowoczesnych technologii, mediów i telekomunikacji w Europie Wschodniej i Centralnej. Wcześniej zajmował kierownicze role (prezes zarządu, członek rad nadzorczych) w spółkach z branży nowoczesnych technologii. Był też założycielem i partnerem zarządzającym w jednym z pierwszych na polskim rynku funduszy venture capital inwestujących w cyfrowe startupy.

Jerzy jest absolwentem Politechniki Warszawskiej (mgr inż. telekomunikacji i dr nauk technicznych), University of Rochester w USA (M. Sc. In Electrical Engineering), oraz IMD w Lozannie (Management Development Program).

Jakub Falkowski is an experienced technology lawyer. He supports clients in their digital transformation. Jakub focuses on intellectual property law, regulations concerning e-payments, commercialization of the technology, legal aspects of artificial intelligence, big data and complex issues relating to data monetization. He has been involved in several largest outsourcing projects related to the implementation of IT systems (waterfall, agile) and cloud projects. He is recommended by Chambers Legal 2020 for Fintech and Legal 500 EMEA 2019 for TMT.

Since January 2018, Paweł Jakubik took a new role of Director of Digital Transformation in Cloud, a board member in the Polish Microsoft subsidiary. Previously, within the Polish Microsoft, he ran the Enterprise Services Department for 4 years. Together with the team, he was responsible for advising, implementing and maintaining services for the largest clients in the following sectors: public, banking and insurance, energy and industrial sectors as well as industries such as sales, distribution and production. Previously he ran the Department of Banking and Insurance at Microsoft Enterprise – a department that dealt with the services of the largest Polish banks and insurance companies.

He divides his over twenty years professional experience into two periods: business and technology. During the first thirteen years of his professional career he organized and ran sales networks, training and marketing departments in the financial sector. In Gerling Poland Life was the Sales Director. In Zurich TUnŻ he was responsible for the corporate client segment. He was a member of Inter Polska’s board of directors responsible for sales, marketing and training.

After moving from business to IT in 2005-2009 he was head of sales and marketing at Software AG. During the merger with webMethods was responsible for the area of business processes and middle ware.

Dr Krzysztof Korus is an attorney with a doctorate in law, and an economist. He is an expert on payment services, new technologies law, and banking law. Every year since 2015, he has been listed as a recommended lawyer in Chambers Europe in the Banking & Finance category (“strong experience in banking regulatory matters”, “deep knowledge and long experience”). He is a pioneer in advising on regulatory issues for the fintech sector in Poland. Among the issues he has advised on are implementation of PSD2 and opening banking, and he has advised on several dozen cases before financial market regulators in Poland and in Europe, on M&A deals on the fintech market, and on court litigation and arbitration cases between financial institutions. He has worked in the most important industry working groups for the fintech sector, such as the EC’s API Evaluation Group, the Polish API team, the fintech innovation development working group for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the Ministry for Digital Affairs “Blockchain and cryptocurrency” stream in the scheme “From a Paper to a Digital Poland”, and the Financial Market Development Council working group for implementation of the PSD. He co-authored the “Study Impact of the PSD” and “Principles, Definitions and Model Rules of European Private Law” for the European Commission, and sat on the programming council for the monthly “Banking Law Monitor”. He is a member of the European Payments Consulting Association, and has worked with the Polish-German Banking Law Centre and London Economics. He has written several dozen publications, legal analyses, and commentaries and spoken at numerous industry events in Poland, Europe, the US, and Asia. He is involved in legislative work at the Polish and EU level.

Graduated from the Faculty of Economic Science at the University of Warsaw. 

Martin Pioch work in the ZVEI European Office in Brussels and is policy manager for ‘Industry 4.0’ and ‘International Markets’. He represents the interests of the electrical industry vis-à-vis the institutions of the European Union, in European industry associations, and to further stakeholder groups. Martin also represents ZVEI abroad in committees and events, such as the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit. Before je joined ZVEI in 2018, Martin received his PhD in Global Economics from St. Petersburg State University as part of an EU Marie Curie Fellowship, and was a research fellow at Oxford University and at the WTO in Geneva.

Andrzej Kozłowski, editor-in-chief of Cyberdefence24.pl portal, which is a part of Defence24 group. He obtained his PhD at the University of Lodz. He is an author of more than 15 research papers and a participant of more than 30 conferences (among them King’s College, University of Manchester, Goethe University Frankfurt). He teaches classes and lectures about security, cybersecurity and terrorism at the University of Lodz and Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. He did internships in Hague Center for Strategic Studies, Polish Institute of International Affairs, National Security Bureau, Polish embassy in the Hague and in European Parliament. He is an alumnus of Department of State IV LP Program: “21st Century Changemakers: Information Technology Leaders Explore Cyber Security Strategies.

Before taking over the position of General Manager at Microsoft in Poland, Mark Loughran had been the General Manager of the Consumer & Devices Sales division at Microsoft UK for 3.5 years. Together with his team, he achieved outstanding results in the sales of consumer products and solutions offered by Microsoft UK.

Over the years, his professional career included a number of industries and markets. Initially, he was engaged in the healthcare sector and the sales to the public sector. For 14 years, he worked for GlaxoSmithKline. For 6 years, he managed the company’s business in the Central and Eastern Europe, of which, for 4 years, he worked and lived in Poland, holding the position of General Manager and President of the Management Board at GSK Poland. In this period of time, he led the merger of Polfa Poznan with the international business of GSK. Mark Loughran also sat on the board of the Confederation of Polish Employers (KPP), currently known as the Employers of Poland, which is the oldest and largest umbrella organisation of employers in Poland.

Mark Loughran also held the position of Sales Director and, next, General Manager at Nokia UK & Ireland, where he introduced the first smartphone into the British market. Later, he worked for PACE (currently known as Arris), a television and broadband technology company, where he led a team of hardware and software engineers and sales teams responsible for the sales of digital services and digital platform to the biggest telecommunication companies, offering pay TV services, in the world.

Mark Loughran has an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge.

Philippe Defraigne is a founding director of Cullen International, a company monitoring regulatory developments in telecommunications, digital economy, media, postal and competition law. He is an economist by training and has spent the last 30 years analysing telecommunications regulation and market developments. He is a regular fixture on the conference circuit, frequently speaking at and chairing events in Europe, Latin America and MENA.

He started his telecommunications career as a researcher at the University of Namur in the 80s. Between 1991 and 1994, Philippe worked for the European Commission where he was mainly involved in the legislative process that lead to the adoption of the ONP Leased Lines Directive. He now travels extensively and advises regulators and operators across 50 countries

Jim O’Connor is the Chairman and CEO of the USTTI- a nonprofit, US government-industry joint venture intended to meet the telecommunications and cybersecurity training needs of the women and men who design, regulate and oversee the communications infrastructures of the developing world. Since 1982, the USTTI has graduated 10,052 communications officials, regulators and entrepreneurs from 177 developing countries.

In his role as Chairman and CEO, of the USTTI, O’Connor works with developing country Regulators and Ministries of Communication to identify priority policy and technology issues to develop the USTTI’s annual curriculum. Additionally, Jim is responsible for coordination with USTTI Board members from US government and industry to ensure USTTI course offerings showcase innovative technologies and services pioneered in the United States, while also highlighting the vital role of independent regulatory bodies in promoting economic growth in the global marketplace.

Since joining the USTTI in 2007, Jim has worked his way through the organization from a project coordinator to Executive Director and then in 2016 being named as the first President of the USTTI. In those roles Jim was responsible for numerous program innovations addressing broadband deployment, cybersecurity, spectrum management, emergency communications, telehealth and Internet governance.

In 2020, the USTTI Board of Directors elevated Jim to Chairman and CEO succeeding Ambassador Michael Gardner who served in that role since founding the USTTI in 1982.

Tim Unwin is Emeritus Professor of Geography (since 2011) and Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in ICT4D (since 2007) at Royal Holloway, University of London. He was Secretary General of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) from 2011-2015, and was Chair of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission from 2009-2014. He is also Honorary Professor at Lanzhou University in China. In 2018-19 he led the co-ordination of 21 UN agencies on behalf of UNESCO and UNICEF to develop a system-wide strategy on the future of education and learning for the UN’s High Level Committee on Programmes and Chief Executives Board. His influential edited book Information and Communication Technologies for Development, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2009, and his latest book Reclaiming ICT4D was published by Oxford University Press in 2017. Most of his research and writing currently focuses on the inequalities caused by digital technologies and what needs to be done to ensure that the poorest and most marginalised people can benefit from them. He is a Co-Investigator of the UKRI GCRF South-South Migration Hub (2019-23) undertaking research on the use of digital technologies by migrants, Co-Founder of TEQtogether (an initiative to change men’s attitudes and behaviours towards women and technology), an Expert Advisor on the Working Group on School Connectivity of the Broadband Commission, and is also well-known for his research on the history and geography of wine. He was appointed a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St George (CMG) in the Queen’s 90th Birthday Honours list in 2016 for his services to the Commonwealth.

Marco Hogewoning, Senior External Relations Officer

“Marco Hogewoning (1978) has over two decades of experience in designing and operating Internet infrastructure. Working for some leading Internet Service Providers in the Netherlands he was amongst the first to embrace IPv6 as a marketable solution. Working for the RIPE NCC since 2011, he is part of the External Relations team with a focus on building bridges between technical and policy topics, actively participating in ITU, IETF and a number of other venues where these worlds meet each other. Marco has been involved with the RIPE community since the beginning of this millennium and served as co-chair of the IPv6 working group from 2009 to 2014. More recently he was involved in establishing the RIPE IoT working group, which provides a spot for the community to discuss their concerns with IoT, which are often rooted in security.”

Marta Wojciechowska in the INEA Group is responsible for legal issues, regulations, compliance and ESG. She is Attorney at Law who successfully translates comprehensive business needs into regulatory reality in an international environment.
She understands the dynamics of business while being able to find the right balance between a broad view of investment and tactical management.         
She has extensive experience in regulatory compliance projects advising on the implementation of regulatory requirements and risk management.    
She also participated in international M&A transactions, supervising and being responsible for the process in the area of ​​legal analysis, structuring transactions and documentation.
Marta Wojciechowska has been associated with the INEA Group since 2010.     
Previously, she worked in law offices associated in international alliances.          
She is a graduate of European studies and Law at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan.

Corporate Affairs VP in the CEE region, responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of corporate communications, regulatory & public policy strategies, as well as representing UPC Polska in contacts with public stakeholders and regulators. Patrycja joined UPC Poland in 2001 and since 2007 she has been responsible for UPC’s Communication and Public Affairs.

Patrycja has nearly 20 years of experience in the TMT sector in Poland. She started her career at Wizja TV, the first digital satellite platform in Poland.

Patrycja is a graduate of International Relations and holds a degree in American Studies from the University of Warsaw. She pursued her PR education at the London School of Public Relations and completed the Executive Education on Leadership program at the Swiss IMD.

She serves as Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication (PIKE) and the Association of Private Media (part of Polish Confederation Lewiatan), representing the interests of the cable sector. She is also co-chair of the Digital Economy Committee at AmCham.

Wojciech Dziomdziora is an attorney at law with almost twenty years of legal, business and public experience, an expert in telecommunication, new technologies, media and copyrights,  IT incl. cyber security and data protection. He is a General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in Nexera Group – number 1 wholesale telco operator in Poland. Wojciech serves as the arbitrator in the Polish Copyright Commission. Previously Wojciech was a Counsel at the leading Polish law firm – Domański Zakrzewski Palinka (DZP).  Earlier he was a high-level manager in Orange Polska. He also worked as the in-house lawyer in TVN group. Part of his career was dedicated to the public sector: for several years Wojciech was a director of the legal department at the Ministry of Culture and he served as the Minister – Member of the Broadcasting Council.

Jakub Woźny is a partner at the Media Law Firm. His field of expertise includes telecommunications law. At present, Mr Woźny is much involved in cases of interference of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications with telecommunication companies’ business. He is interested in regulations pertaining to entities rendering electronic services, in particular OTT services. He is actively involved in drafting the Code of Electronic Communication.

Mr Woźny has extensive experience in copyright. He is the author of scientific publications, provides regular training to communication companies, speaks at scientific conferences and makes public appearances. He is a graduate in economics at the Poznan University of Economics and in law at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. Mr Woźny has recently commenced doctoral studies at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences where he will focus on the theory that determines boundaries of the communication service definition.

In 2018 he became a member of the Working Group for the Development of Telecommunications established by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, which, i nter alia, deals with amendments to the Telecommunications Law Act, amendments to the Act on Support for the Development of Telecommunications Services and Networks, the implementation of the Electronic Communications Code, and the update of the National Broadband Plan and the “5G for Poland” Plan.

In July 2019, he was appointed to the “Legislation” team, one of the three teams as part of the development of the IoT project in Poland.

Pochodzi ze Spały. Jest absolwentką II Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im.S.Żeromskiego w Tomaszowie Mazowieckim, W 2013 roku ukończyła Wydział Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego, a rok później Wydział Francuskiego Prawa Biznesowego w Université de Poitiers. W latach 2016–2018 pełniła funkcję dyrektor Centrum Projektów Polska Cyfrowa, gdzie odpowiadała m.in. za przeprowadzenie największego w historii funduszy europejskich konkursu na dofinansowanie budowy infrastruktury telekomunikacyjnej. Projekt został nagrodzony przez Komisję Europejską nagrodą European Broadband Awards. W 2017 uzyskała uprawnienia adwokata. 10 lipca 2018 powołana na podsekretarz stanu w Ministerstwie Cyfryzacji.

Michał Polasik is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland and head of the Centre for Digital Economy and Finance NCU. Absolwentka Instytutu Nauk Politycznych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Na Wydziale Studiów Międzynarodowych i Politycznych UJ otworzyła przewód doktorski. Jest stypendystką Uniwersytetu Oxford oraz programu American Council on Germany, Dräger Foundation, ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. Od 2003 r. związana z Wyższą Szkołą Europejską im. ks. J. Tischnera w Krakowie.

Działaczka społeczna, autorka wielu publikacji naukowych. Była prezesem Fundacji Lepsza Polska.

Andrzej Abramczuk posiada blisko 20-letnie doświadczenie w doradztwie na rzecz podmiotów z sektora telekomunikacyjnego oraz mediów. W ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu lat wspierał największe transakcje w branży mediów i telekomunikacji na polskim rynku.

Od września 2009 roku związany z kancelarią Chajec, Don-Siemion & Żyto, gdzie od stycznia 2011 jest Partnerem odpowiadający za praktykę TMT. W latach 2001 – 2006 był dyrektorem departamentu prawnego oraz członkiem zarządu GTS Poland i Cel Polska. W latach 2006 – 2009 związany był ze spółką P4 (operator sieci Play).

W latach 2011 – 2015 zasiadał w Radzie Nadzorczej CenterNet S.A. i był sekretarzem RN spółki Midas S.A. (obecnie Aero2 Sp. z o.o.). Jest też aktywnym uczestnikiem życia organizacji branżowych, m.in. wiceprzewodniczącym Rady PIIT oraz członkiem Rady KIGEiT.

Andrzej Abramczuk ukończył Wydział Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego oraz studia podyplomowe, prowadzone przez Wyższą Szkołę Ubezpieczeń i Bankowości wraz z City University Business School of London oraz studiów doktoranckich w Instytucie Nauk Prawnych PAN.

W 1974 roku ukończył I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Ziemi Kujawskiej we Włocławku i podjął studia biologiczne na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Ukończył je w 1978 roku pod kierunkiem Alicji Górskiej-Brylass. W latach 1978–1981 kontynuował naukę na studiach doktoranckich na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim. Stopień doktora uzyskał na UWr w 1983 roku. Tematem rozprawy doktorskiej był Wpływ humianu sodu i faniny chińskiej na ultrastrukturę komórki i na enzymy związane z membranami i ścianą komórkową, a jej promotorem Stefan Gumiński.

W 1981 roku Andrzej Tretyn został zatrudniony na UMK. Stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk przyrodniczych w zakresie biologii uzyskał w 1991 roku na tej uczelni, na podstawie rozprawy Badania nad rolą acetylocholiny w mechanizmie działania fitochromu. Tytuł profesora nauk biologicznych otrzymał w 18 czerwca 1996 roku[2].

Na UMK został kierownikiem Katedry Fizjologii Roślin i Biotechnologii. Od 1999 roku do 2005 roku pełnił funkcję dziekana Wydziału Biologii i Nauk o Ziemi. W 2005 roku został prorektorem UMK ds. badań naukowych i współpracy z zagranicą.

13 marca 2012 roku, głosami 121 elektorów (przy 112 głosach za profesorem Andrzejem Radzimińskim i 4 głosach wstrzymujących się), został wybrany na rektora Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika. Kadencję rozpoczął 1 września tegoż roku[3]. 10 marca 2016 roku został ponownie wybrany na rektora na kadencję 2016–2020 (166 głosów za, 53 przeciw, 12 wstrzymujących się)[1].

Jean-François Fallacher (ur.1967r.), od 1 maja 2016 jest prezesem Orange Polska. W latach 2011-2016 pełnił funkcję prezesa spółki Orange Romania, wiodącego operatora komórkowego na rumuńskim rynku.

Wcześniej, przez 20 lat, Jean-François Fallacher pełnił kluczowe funkcje w Grupie Orange, ostatnio jako prezes Sofrecom, należącej do grupy międzynarodowej spółki konsultingowej oraz w Holandii jako dyrektor operacyjny w spółce Wanadoo, dostawcy usług internetowych, a także zarządzając marketingiem segmentu B2B w EuroNet Internet.

Jacek Łukaszewski, Schneider Electric Cluster President responsible for operations in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia managing directly four business units, i.e. Buildings, Energy, Industry, and IT. He has over 20 years of experience in automation industry and broad understanding of automation control and power supply systems. In Schneider Electric since 2002. Since the beginning of this year, Wolfgang Weber has been Chairman of the Management
Board of ZVEI – German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association in Frankfurt/Main.
After studying chemistry in Frankfurt and completing his PhD in Zurich, he joined the German
Chemical Industry Association (VCI) in 1999.
In 2006, Wolfgang moved to BASF in Ludwigshafen as Head of Energy and Climate Policy,
Communications & Government Relations. Five years later, he moved to Brussels as Vice
President EU Government Relations of the BASF Group. From 2017 until 2019, he was Vice
President Corporate Communications and Government Relations for the BASF region
Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Rada Rodriguez joined Schneider Electric in 2000 and has been at Schneider Electric Germany since October
2009. Six years ago, she was named CEO of Schneider Electric GmbH and Country President Germany, and
in 2017 she assumed the additional role of Senior Vice President Global Alliances.
In over 30 years working primarily in international corporations she has combined leadership roles and
technical expertise across sales and marketing, product and offer management, project management,
business development, steering international R&D teams, and overseeing integration of acquisitions and
internal change processes.
Ms Rodriguez is also a member of the Board of Directors of ZVEI, the German electrical engineering and
electronics association.

Doreen Bogdan-Martin was elected Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau on the 1st of November 2018. She took office on the 1st of January 2019.
She is a strategic leader with 30 years of high-level experience in international and inter-governmental relations and a long history of success in policy and strategy development, analysis and execution. She has advised governments from around the world on policy and regulatory issues, and is a regular presenter at high-level international forums and summits.
From 2008-2018, Ms Bogdan-Martin led the Strategic Planning & Membership Department of the International Telecommunication Union, located in Geneva, Switzerland. ITU is the specialized United Nations agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs), with 193 Member States and a membership of nearly 800 private sector entities and academic institutions around the globe. The oldest member of the UN family, its mandate is to bring connectivity to all the world’s people through development assistance, technical standardization and coordination of radiocommunications.
Prior to her election, Ms Bogdan-Martin oversaw the organization’s Membership, Corporate Communications, External Affairs and UN Liaison teams, and was instrumental in establishing the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, on which she continues to serve as Executive Director.
She was one of the principal architects of the annual Global Symposium for Regulators, directed ITU’s first global youth summit #BYND, oversees ITU’s contribution to the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age, and is leading ITU’s collaboration with UNICEF and others on the GIGA project to connect the world’s schools.
Prior to joining ITU, Ms Bogdan-Martin was a Telecommunications Policy Specialist in the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA), US Department of Commerce.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Communications Policy from American University in Washington, DC, post-graduate certification in Strategies for Leadership from the Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is certified in Accountability and Ethics by the United Nations Leaders Programme.
She is an affiliate of the Harvard University Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society, and a Generation Unlimited Champion. She serves on a number of advisory bodies, including the Geneva-Tsinghua Initiative, is Co-Chair of the United Nations Strategic Planning Group, Chair of the Academic Council for the Swiss Network for International Studies, and a member of the Board of Governors of the UN Staff College. She is also an amateur radio operator.

W ramach Zespołu Transformacji Przemysłowej pracującego przy Ministrze Rozwoju zaproponował zestaw zmian legislacyjnych, które przyczynią się do wzrostu innowacyjności sektora MŚP.

Oliver Blank is Director European Affairs with ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. In this function, he is responsible for the coordination of all ZVEI European affairs and the management of the ZVEI European Office in Brussels. In addition, he coordinates some of the international work of ZVEI, including ZVEI’s China business and the Beijing EuropElectro Office.
He is active in ORGALIME, the European umbrella organization of the engineering industries; in BDI, BUSINESSEUROPE and within some of the European sector organizations. In parallel to these functions, for six years, he has been the Secretary General of T&D Europe – the European association of the energy transmission and distribution technology providers.
Oliver Blank joined ZVEI in 2003 and has been active in various functions since. Prior to ZVEI, he was the first Secretary General of EICTA (today: DIGITALEUROPE), setting up this new association of the ICT and CE industries in 2000 in Brussels. During this time, he ran a European funded PHARE project for the set-up of industry associations in Central- and Eastern European countries prior to their EU accession in 2004. His first position in associations was with VDMA, the German Machine Building Association, in 1998/99, as policy advisor for electronic commerce and the information society. In his early years after university, he worked as a consultant for two advertising agencies, Bozell and Huth & Wenzel. He has a PhD in Political Science from Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz and a M.A. from Bowling Green State University / USA.

IT manager with broad experience in managing digital organisations. He was the co-founder and the first director of the National Digital Archives (NAC) in the years 2008-2012. After that, for four years he was the director of Center for Informatics Technology (COI), which he then transformed into a center of digital literacy for the state. Under his leadership, both the System of National Registers and a well-protected server base – Integrated Registers Infrastructure, were created at COI. His managerial activities in the IT field are directed towards ensuring the country sovereignty in a digital sphere, and additionally the construction of the common well-being by means of IT tools. He formulated the idea of „service state”. Under his leadership, lots of facilities for citizens were created such as portals, providing several million digitised documents and archival photographs, as well as various e-services platforms: obywatel.gov.pl, historiapojazdu.gov.pl and also bezpiecznyautobus.gov.pl. He has been recently awarded the prestigious title of „Chief Information Officer of the Year 2015” by the Polish IT managers’ industry.

Martin Mellor is a telecommunications professional with 25 years’ ICT experience. Martin Mellor has been an active promoter and influencer of the 5G technology in Poland. Collaborating with the Ericsson R&D Centres in Poland together with industry, academia and start-ups to develop innovative solutions for real industry issues. Martin Mellor is also a strong support of diversity in ICT and has been a mentor in the IT for SHE 2017.

Jean-Marc Harion has been a member of the Management Board of P4 sp. z o.o. („Play”) since July 2018. He also performs the function of Chief Executive Officer and the president of the Management Board. Prior joining the Group Play, Jean-Marc Harion had over 25 years of experience within the telecommunications sector, most recently serving as CEO of Orange Egypt and Mobistar, both listed companies, and previously as CEO of Orange Dominicana and Orange VP Business Development Americas in New York. Prior to joining Orange Group, Jean-Marc Harion established his own company, Computer Channel, which he developed over a 10 year period before it was sold to Wanadoo (France Telecom Group). Mr. Harion holds a master’s degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a master and post-graduate degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the Telecom and IT industries, he possesses broad experience across most technologies having worked in a variety of senior capacities across Technical, Commercial, Company and Business Management, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Program Management and R&D disciplines. He is an expert in the Business of Telecommunications – managing of all aspects (concept to operations) of Telecommunications Carrier / Service Provider businesses

In the course of his career, he has worked with numerous Fixed and Mobile Operators, vendors, SI and Consulting companies in Asia-Pacific, Africa, North America and Europe

As CTO, Erik Ekudden is responsible for setting the direction of technology leadership for the Ericsson Group.

His experience from working with technology leadership globally will influence the strategic decisions and investments for example in mobility, distributed cloud, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. This builds on his decades-long career in technology strategies and industry activities.

Erik joined Ericsson in 1993 and has held various management positions in the company, including Head of Technology Strategy, Chief Technology Officer Americas in Santa Clara US, and Head of Standardization and Industry. He is also a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Maciej Stępień is the co-founder and CEO of Neontri, the Polish fintech specializing in mobile banking and payments solutions. He is responsible for the management of company’s sales and business strategy.Prior to founding Neontri, he was the force behind the success of Trevica, a paytech startup bought by Mastercard. Earlier, he was also a partner and shareholder of Pentegy, an international IT consulting company.

Marek Gondzio is the founder and CEO of Globema.
He started his career as an Assistant and later Associate Professor at the Institute of Computer Science of the Warsaw University of Technology (1979-1991). In the late 80s he worked as a Visiting Researcher and Consultant at FreeForm Design AB – a Swedish IT enterprise. Between 1991-1997 he was a Deputy Director of a Software Department and then a Vice President at Inter-Design Tessel Systems – a Polish-Swedish company specializing in CAD software.
In 1997 he founded Globema, which over the years has become one of the leading suppliers of geospatial IT solutions and services on the CEE markets. In 2005 Marek Gondzio received INFO-STAR (a recognition and award of the Polish IT industry) for ‘Business Achievements’.
